Important Considerations
- Until certified your classes will be free (no charge to students) “community offerings.” You are an intern during this phase of your training. If necessary, you may ask for donations to help cover the cost of renting a space.
We believe you can easily find many places to share the practice without paying to rent a space. Consider retirement homes and senior centers, gyms, yoga and dance studios, orphanages, schools and after-school programs, prisons and rehab centers, offices and other workplaces, churches and parks - During the period between the completion of your training and your certification approval, you may call yourself an “SDSS Teacher-In-Training.” If you prefer to create your own name, please feel free. After certification you are authorized to use our trademarked name, “SpiritDance SoulSong,” in the title of your class.
- Complete your class reports as soon after your class as possible whilst the experience is still fresh in your mind.
- You can make your Youtube video private, noting that it must be shared with Ellen & Daphne if you prefer, or public to share your great teaching with the world! Your submissions will be eagerly reviewed by our faculty.
- Please note that submitting these materials does not guarantee certification. All submissions are subject to approval by the SDSS board. Upon approval we will send you your certificate signed by Ellen Watson and Daphne Tse. If for any reason your certification is not approved, you may be required to submit more class reports/videos. These will not require any additional fee towards certification.
